It is indeed an honour to step into the role of Chairperson for SAALED. I look forward to continuing the incredible work of our organization.
I want to extend my deepest gratitude to Shirley Gray for her outstanding leadership and dedication as the outgoing Chairperson. With many years of teaching experience, Shirley has guided SAALED to new heights, and her contributions have been invaluable. I am pleased to share that she will continue to bring her wisdom and expertise to our board.
Thank you, Shirley, for your unwavering commitment and the remarkable impact you have made. Together, with the support of our dedicated board members, we will continue to enhance the educational experiences and professional growth of all those we serve.
We bid a fond farewell to Tarryn McLaren, whose workload as Head of Kingsmead Junior School has become too demanding to accept her nomination to the Board. Tarryn, we will miss you and your support over the past two years. Your presence at our Board meetings will be greatly missed.
Additionally, Fleur Durbach has decided not to accept her nomination to the Board after over 35 years of dedicated service. In recognition of this remarkable achievement, we are delighted to offer Fleur Honorary Life Membership. Thank you, Fleur, for all you have done. Your critical thinking and valued input will be sorely missed.
