Learn By Doing

Our membership is composed of parents/care-givers and professionals involved with learning difficulties, for example, teachers, remedial therapists, social workers, psychologists, occupational therapists, optometrists, speech therapists, audiologists, physiotherapists, general practitioners and medical specialists. 

How We Contribute

The SAALED Board and various individual members are actively involved in monitoring and commenting on policy initiatives and discussion documents emanating from National and Provincial Education Departments. Among other things, SAALED has also contributed to the National Education Policy Investigation and made submissions to the National Commission on Special Needs in Education and Training (NCSNET).
