Reaching out to The Kings School Muldersdrift

As you know, 5% of all money received for our webinars is donated to an Outreach School. Last year and this year we are supporting The Kings School Muldersdrift.

Thank you to each and every one of you who attended a webinar in 2025. SAALED, represented by Shirley Gray and Pearl Makhene, handed over 10 beautiful, strong, indigenous trees to TKSM on 9 March this year. David, Tanaka, James and Lendalani from Random Harvest Indigenous Nursery advised us on trees that grow well in the area and then delivered them to the school free of charge. James did a wonderful tree planting demonstration for us.

The caring gardener from TKSM, Gilbert, participated in the planting demonstration with keen interest. Then he got to work planting the remaining 9 trees. Mrs Davinah Langley principal of TKSM, was very involved in the positioning of the trees and gratefully accepted the trees on behalf of the School.

The recently planted trees will have a double purpose. Firstly, to provide much needed shade on the playground and secondly, to create a screen to lessen the noise from the nearby highway.

SAALED sincerely hopes that the trees will respond to the love with which they are given and grow tall and steadfast.

The start of a happy day!

Gilbert, up for the challenge!

James started the demonstration, explaining in detail what needed to be done.

Hard work, but what a team! Each person willingly took a turn.

Depth and careful removing of young trees from their plastic containers - all important.

We had so much fun during the planting session!

Final touches from James and Gilbert.

First tree planted and looking magnificent!
